12th Annual UMLY Emergency Services Day

The Berwyn Fire Company participated in the 12th Annual Upper Main Line Y Emergency Services Day in Berwyn. The event is coordinated jointly by the Berwyn and Paoli fire companies, along with the support of the Eastern Chester County Firefighters Association.

This annual event allows children to meet their area first responders in a controlled environment. There were numerous activities the children were able to watch and participate in during this unique event. First responders stopped by and showed off their gear and equipment to over 200 campers from the following organizations:

Radnor Fire Company
Malvern Fire Company
Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company
Newtown Square Fire Company
Tredyffrin Township Police Department
Easttown Township Police Department
Chester County Department of Emergency Services - Hazardous Materials Team
Thomas Jefferson University Hospital - JEFFSTAT Medical Helicopter

Thank you to all the volunteer and paid fire/EMS/Fire Police responders, police officers, haz-mat team members and medical helicopter personnel who made this event a success.
