The Berwyn Fire Company was dispatched at 8:57 p.m. to assist the Radnor Fire Company in the 900 block of Ivycroft Road in Tredyffrin Township for a house fire.

First arriving Radnor units encountered a smoldering fire in the area of the garage. All occupants were able to safely evacuate prior to the arrival of first responders. The crew of Berwyn Engine 2-3 assisted with ventilating the smoke from the home and putting ladders in place for firefighter safety. The fire was placed under control within 15 minutes.

The Chester County Fire Marshal's Office investigated the cause of the fire and ruled it accidental. No first responder or civilian injuries occurred during this incident. All units were clear of the scene before 10:30 p.m.
