Berwyn firefighters were awoken at 2:21 a.m. this morning to a brush fire on Route 202 near Chesterbrook Blvd. in Tredyffrin Township. The first arriving crew of Engine 2-2 encountered a 50' x 20' area of brush on fire on the side of the highway. The recent dry and windy conditions helped the fire to spread rapidly before being brought under control.

All units were clear of the scene before 3:30 a.m. The Tredyffrin Township Police Department provided traffic control while fire personnel worked to extinguish the fire.
