The Berwyn Fire Company, along with mutual aid from Paoli and Radnor, were dispatched to the 200 block of Warren Ave. in Easttown Township for a garage fire at 9:53 a.m.

Berwyn Engine 2-3 arrived on location with heavy smoke coming from a 1 1/2 story garage. The initial fire attack team was able to extinguish the bulk of the fire within 15 minutes of arrival. Additional personnel from Paoli and Radnor assisted with salvage and overhaul operations.

The fire caused extensive damage to the garage, but did not impact the main house on the property. There were no reported firefighter or civilian injuries. However, due to the freezing temperatures conditions were hazardous as water froze on the scene.

The Chester County Fire Marshals Office is investigating the cause of the blaze, which is not suspicious. Final Berwyn units cleared the scene before 12 Noon.
