The Berwyn Fire Company was dispatched to 701 Lee Rd. in Tredyffrin Township at 9:44 a.m. for a tree on fire. The location of this particular incident is near Wilson Farm Park in the Chesterbrook Corporate Center. Additional 9-1-1 callers and the Tredyffrin Township Police Department indicated the fire involved a dumpster and was getting larger.

Berwyn Engine 2-3 arrived on location and reported a 30' x 50' area of brush, dumpsters, and other debris on fire within 50 yards of an office building. The nearby building was evacuated prior to the arrival of first responders as a precaution.

There was no reported firefighter or civilian injuries. Damage was limited to a port-o-potty, construction equipment, a fence and landscaping. The Chester County Fire Marshal's Office and the PA State Police Fire Marshal's Office were notified of the fire. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time, but it is not believed to be suspicious.

PECO Energy was also notified since one of their transformers was affected by the blaze. Final units from the Berwyn Fire Company cleared the scene by 11:30 a.m.
