10 Fire/EMS Calls & 2 Standbys on Thursday |

BERWYN, PA - The Berwyn Fire Company had an active Thursday responding to 10 calls for service and providing two EMS event standbys in the Tredyffrin-Easttown community. This included several medicals calls and fire incidents. At one point 5 emergency vehicles were in use at the same time between the main station and substation; Engine 2-2, Engine 2-3, Battalion 2, ATV 2 and QRS 2. EMS crews handled medical calls at various locations, including LifeTime Athletic, Glenhardie Condominiums and Recovery Centers of America. Firefighters investigated 3 fire alarms, rescued a subject from a stuck elevator and assisted the Paoli Fire Company with an automobile fire. Additionally, Dressage at Devon started this week at the Devon Horse Show which involves a combination of fire/EMS personnel being on duty 24x7. EMS also completed an ambulance standby during a football game at Valley Forge Middle School. A total of 5 career staff and 7 volunteers were involved in the various incidents and standbys throughout the day.
