BERWYN, PA - The leadership and staff of the Berwyn Fire Company continue to monitor the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and adapt our fire and EMS response operations accordingly. Our organization is committed to fulfilling our fire and EMS mission and responding to emergencies in Tredyffrin and Easttown with the same effectiveness and professionalism as we have delivered to this community for many decades.

Our operational and administrative leaders have been in contact and directly engaged with the Tredyffrin and Easttown Police, the Tredyffrin and Easttown Board of Supervisors, the Township Managers, the Township Emergency Management Coordinators, our Fire/EMS mutual aid partners (in particular Radnor, Paoli & Malvern), our Medical Director, our Infection Control Officer, the Tredyffrin-Easttown School District, the Chester County Department of Emergency Services and the Chester County Health Department in effort to proactively anticipate and respond to emergencies related to, and unrelated to, this public health emergency.

We have also been in contact with officials from Devon Senior Living, Brightview Senior Living, Devereux and Recovery Centers of America due to these facilities caring for a large number of people, including those that fall into the high-risk category as defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The Berwyn Fire Company operational structure and procedures are easily adapted to changing circumstances. Although this specific emergency is unlike anything we have experienced before, our operational structure enables a fluid response to evolving and unique challenges, as is clearly the case with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Our entire team is engaged and ready to respond and adapt as circumstances require.

The health and safety of the Tredyffrin and Easttown community and our staff have been and will continue to be our top priority. Please engage with our website and Facebook page for the most current information. Additionally, please use the http://www.readychesco.org/ website for timely information and check the section for updates from the Chester County Health Department.
