BERWYN, PA - Earlier today at 9:58 a.m., the Berwyn Fire Company was dispatched to the area of Wilson Rd. and Yellow Springs Rd. in Tredyffrin Township for a tractor fire.

Berwyn Deputy 2 arrived on location with a tractor engulfed in flames in a field with limited vehicle access. There was also a concern for a large brush fire to occur since the ground conditions were dry. Due to this challenge, additional resources were requested from the Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company and Radnor Fire Company.

Berwyn Engine 2-1 setup at the access point to the field on Yellow Springs Rd. in order to supply water for smaller vehicles that could make it safely into the scene.

Firefighters with Berwyn ATV 2, Valley Forge ATV 68, Valley Forge Brush 68, and Radnor TAC 15 worked together to extinguish the fire. Fortunately no injuries occurred and the scene was cleared by 12:30 p.m.

The Tredyffrin Township Police Department and Valley Forge Park Rangers also responded to the scene.
