BERWYN, PA - The Berwyn Fire Company held elections in December 2021 for the all-volunteer leadership team (operational and administrative). On January 6th, the elected and re-elected leaders formally assumed their roles for the new terms. This year was especially significant because it included the transition of the fire chief position for the first time in eight years.
The Berwyn Fire Company wishes to thank Chief Eamon Brazunas for his leadership for the last eight years -- four terms. His contributions are numerous, spanning both his core responsibilities related to fire and rescue services as well as his role being the primary public and most recognized representative of the Fire Company.
Chief Brazunas departs his position as Fire Chief at Berwyn to begin a new role as the Career Fire Chief for Phoenixville Borough. We wish him the best of luck in this new role. Chief Brazunas will continue to volunteer at Berwyn Fire Company and actively serve the community he and his family live in supporting the incoming Fire Chief, Justin Brundage.
Incoming Fire Chief Justin Brundage is a 33-year member of the Berwyn Fire Company. Chief Brundage has served as Deputy Chief for the past eight years and has served as a Chief officer under Berwyn's last five Fire Chiefs. |
