BERWYN, PA - The Berwyn Fire Company was dispatched late Friday night for a brush fire in the 600 block of Pugh Rd. in Tredyffrin Township at 10:43 p.m.

First arriving units encountered a 40 ft. x 30 ft. area of brush and yard equipment on fire near two sheds. Firefighters with Engine 2-1 and Engine 2-3 deployed several hundred feet of hose to reach the fire that was difficult to access from the roadway and nearby driveways.

The fire was placed under control within 30 minutes. However, crews worked on scene to wet down the area and extinguish hotspots until finally clearing at 12:35 a.m.

The Chester County Fire Marshal’s Office was requested to investigate the cause of the fire.

The Tredyffrin Township Police Department assisted with traffic control and alerted residents in the immediate area of the fire.
