BERWYN, PA - The Tredyffrin Township and Easttown Township Boards of Supervisors officially appointed Joe O'Leary to the role of Fire Administrator on Monday, October 21, 2024 at their respective public meetings.
This new position will serve as a critical bridge between both Townships as fire, EMS and rescue services continue to grow over the coming years. It will also play an essential role in working with the fire companies that serve one or both Townships, Berwyn, Paoli and Radnor, to ensure the community is safe and well protected.
O'Leary brings a plethora of experience between public safety and healthcare fields to this important role. O'Leary spent 15 years as a registered flight nurse and clinical coordinator at the PennSTAR Flight Program, along with working for the past 4 years at the Concordville Fire & Protective Association in the role of EMS Captain.
O'Leary has also been involved in several fire and EMS organizations over his career, with his longest tenure being at Manoa Fire Company in Haverford Township, Delaware County where he has served for 22 years as a volunteer. He also achieved life member status in 2022 and helped to establish their Quick Response Service program.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and is an avid Philadelphia sports fan. O'Leary currently resides in Delaware County with his wife and twin daughters.
